so last week jules and simon decided they wanted to ‘cook’ and serve dinner. pimms, white, and red wine were on the cards.
smoked salmon for starters with prosciutto bread sticks. then we had chicken skewers with red rice for the main.
daphne and i were really impressed with what the boys did, plus it was nice not to have to lift a finger for once!

i’m bored out of my mind. think i’m about to get my shit together and go home. there’s no point in me being at simon’s when he’s playing video games.
plus it’s dirty, smelly, and not to mention COLD.
i bet the house will be like this by the end of the year

Sometimes i wonder if guys ever do grow up.
went to the movies yesterday with dan, matt, and james. got in free cause matt works there, and thank god for that, would not have been happy if i would’ve paid to see the expendables.
now, i know a lot of women don’t like this film. the boys loved it. i’m somewhere in between.
a lot of… bullets, fire, and explosions. some bad acting, mainly from the men who think they’re still in their prime. and a very sporadic plot.
that being said, i just had to laugh. Sylvester Stallone running. him holding on with his bare hands to a flying plane and pulling himself inside. yeaaaah right!
girls i wouldn’t recommend it, but if your a boy, go see it. 2 out of 5 stars from me.

my god. been to ikea and some other places today with dan and simon. basically just been wandering aimlessly looking for something yet nothing. it’s been raining a lot as well!
definitely going home tonight, need to make sure i still have a flat, and that it hasn’t burnt down!
woke up an hour ago. i’ve showered and gotten dressed and now i’m ready to go and do something. are the boys? no. surprised? no.
simon had started making bacon for breakfast and left me some, but i just can’t stomach it today. so i had a piece of toast instead. going to get something to eat once i get out. bacon for breakfast just seems disgusting to me today.

I’m not sure why, but i’ve been thinking a lot about gender equality recently. I’ve never felt like i’ve been degraded for being a female before, not in Sweden not in America.. in England, i feel a little like the guys don’t value women the same they do their ‘lads’. I had a look at the stats from a couple of websites, Sweden is around one of the top 3 for women equality. America? number 27! England around 17. No surprise that the middle eastern countries are ranked at the bottom. What i’m wondering is why do i feel like less of a person in England? Is it the guys i’ve been around? Is it their culture to treat women differently? Is it just me being stupid? I can’t grip my head around it. I’m confused and a bit worried. What will it be like in the business and working world, worse or better? Guess i’ll have to wait and see, either way it’s a bit wrong. Why should i feel like less of a person for being a woman? The last time i checked men loved women and all their ‘lady bits’, correct? Men need us more than they think, and they sure as hell would miss us even if they wont admit it. I’m just sick of the disrespect i’ve gotten from guys recently and the way they talk down to women and about them. Maybe we should start acting the same, see how they feel?

i could buy flowers more often. or even get some from someone else. love the feeling of waking up in the morning and seeing a bouquet of roses or even just a single flower.
