Missing something

queen shi tzu

i want something around. i miss my pups so much.

unlike some people, queen was always happy to see me no matter what. happy when i came home, sad when i left.

always there for company. slept with me. cuddled me. made me get out of the house and go for walks.

living so close to a park now and seeing dogs all the time really hurts. i wish i could’ve taken queen with me over here <3

American Apparel; “The New Standards”

July 2nd, 2010 No comments

it’s been out and in the open for a while but i’ve just forgotten about it. it wasn’t until today when i was looking into applying for a job at american apparel (yes, again.) that it came to my mind to write about it.

apparently the dress code at american apparel stores and offices is a bit.. how should i put this.. strict? considering the company in itself makes such laid back clothes and expresses a very chilled atmosphere in it’s stores.

i always found american apparel a store where i could buy clothes to express myself. to show my style through their clothes. to show who i am. not who they want me to be.

through this new ‘dress code,’ as they like to call it, i’ve become very upset with american apparel. they’ve been such an honest company in the past. this really makes me rethink it all.

Legalize GAY

yet another reason why i love american apparel. they arnt just a clothing company. they care, and the show their opinions and stick to them. i recently found one of their new shirt styles the one where it says Legalize Gay, repeal proposition 8. i loved it straight away. not because im lesbian or gay or any of that, but why shouldnt every HUMAN have the same rights? its the same as saying blacks and whites cant marry. its like are we really back to this again? wasnt it during our grandparents generation that blacks and women finally got equality? arnt we supposed to learn from history, and not repeat its mistakes. i just dont get it, why are people so close-minded? i mean why do i care if two lesbians get married? or two gays? it has NOTHING to do with me or my life. yes i might not be a lesbian but that doesnt give me the write to judge and discriminate! its so ridiculous. what are your thoughts?
