Daddy and me

June 21st, 2011 No comments

had such a busy weekend with my father here and i loved every minute of it! on friday evening we went and saw Jersey boys a west end musical.

it wasn’t bad but the music isn’t really my generation, or my fathers for that matter. so towards the end everything just shouldn’t the same to me. but worth seeing if you’re into that kind of music!

Saturday during the day we just walked around london to see various things. walked all the way from marylebone, down to marble arch. through green park, past buckingham palace, down to pimlico and saw the london eye and westminster abbey.

then walked back from trafalgar square to my flat! even saw winston churchill perving on my father by bond street…

talk about being tired before going out to dinner and the pub..

Everybody in London

the jerome family is in london this weekend as well. so wednesday evening i went to Green Park to meet them at the pub. had a couple of drinks and they decided they fancied thai food.. guess where i took them? monkey & me of course!

simon came an met us as well. had panang, green curry and a red. a cashew nut stir fry and pad thai, don’t forget the tempura starters!

i love that resturant and the three bottles of wine surely didn’t slow us down. so after we went to the temperance pub around the corner from my flat.

finished off the night with a short walk home.. literally around the corner.

after dad arrived. went home to let him drop off his suitcase and whatnot. i got loooots and lots of candy, plus some nice photo frames with pictures of my mom, sister, and me :)

then we went for a walk. walked from mine to marylebone high street, then to oxford street, then to new bond street, to carnaby steet, then regent’s street, then piccadilly circus, then trafalgar square, then the duke of york statue, then buckingham palace, st james park, green park, mayfair, oxford street, selfridges, then back to mine!!

yeah my feet hurt.

got back, chilled. then simon came around and we went to dinner!

Walk it off

my feet hurt. after walking from south kensington to knightsbridge and around harrods to green park and buckingham palace, to then continue on to trafalgar square, piccadilly and leicester square.. then finally get the tube home.

it’s one of those instances where as soon as you sit down, you don’t wanna move again for anything.

so if i get around to it i’ll put some pictures up today or tomorrow..

What today brings

Taking advantage

May 23rd, 2010 No comments

been taking advantage of the amazing weather all day. first i was sat in the window trying to get my tan on, as funny as it sounds it was amazingly nice. to feel the sensation of ‘heat’ again and not just ‘warmth’ is so nice. then after a lovely lunch, i went with a couple of people to Green Park. relaxing and enjoyable to say the least. it was good to get out and think about something else. i’ve also finished one book today so now I’m on to the next one. either way I’m looking sunkissed and loving it!

Just another day in the park

yesterday simon and i went to green park to meet up with jules. we had a packed lunch, football, blankets, drinks.. basically all you need. even extra clothes! when we got there it was cloudy and well, not so warm. then jules came and provided us with some live entertainment for a while. the sun came out as well and i got my tan on.. well not really but i laid in the sun and enjoyed the warmth! then after several hours when we ran out of beverages and food we decided to walk to piccadilly. literally a minutes walk, i don’t know how i’ve missed that before! then we walked around, looked in some stores. went to dinner at Vapiano. daphne joined us as well. so all in all a very busy but laid back day. went to bed before 12 hehe, old lady over here!

Picnic

the weather this weekend has been amazing. The sun hasn’t stopped shining. Secretly think london is happy that the guys have left for france ;) jokes. Either way me and hanna spent two lunches in the park last week, both hyde park and green park.

Today me and the girls are going back to hyde park for a picnic. Should dress a bit warmer though cause as soon as the sun goes down it is not warm!
