worked my first full day today, from 9 in the morning until 645 this evening! wasn’t too bad actually. everyone’s friendly enough and as your working on your own it’s easy to get everything done at your own pace.

have to say one of the greater things about working at burberry is the free lunches. great idea actually. today i had a salad and a prawn wrap. nom nom nom!

helps that the office is gorgeous as well…

went to dinner with a girl named Nelly who is starting work at Burberry on Monday with me. was faithful to my singapore fried noodles of course. only had tap water so my meal was well cheap.

towards the end of the meal i noticed this cutie pie sat behind us. i almost died, partially because i was gonna steal the dog. i want one so bad, he was the cutest little boy in the world.

im just a bit curious. walked past sophisticats the other day, and realised i’d been in there about a year ago. never realised how close i lived to a strip club, eeek.

however it then got me thinking when i was out the other week as well with the girls who dance on ‘stage’ in clubs.

what’s the different between that sort of girl and a stripper?

they’re both paid to be semi-naked on stage. whether it be stomach legs or cooch is another matter.

i guess it’s cause my moral compass says no way in hell would a respectable girl every take a job like that, cause if you’ve got the want you’ve got the ability to get a job that’s a bit more reputable.

however im curious if im the only one who thinks like this?

i mean money is money if your in dire need, but i’d rather work at mcdonalds, and im sure my father would agree.

haven’t even signed the contract yet and i’m already looking on the burberry website to see what i can buy with my employee discount, ha. this could end badly, at least for my bank account.

i will be a working woman as off four weeks from now. a part-time job at the burberry head office here in london as well as taking summer courses at university to graduate early.

this may be over-ambitious now but will hopefully be well worth it in the end.. never mind the 40% discount at burberry whooo hooo i am a happy girl!

nose job and boob job. in a second, wouldn’t even doubt it.

so i made it through the first round of interviews with apple. i’m reckoning that in itself is kind of impressive as in the usa its harder to get a job at apple than it is to get into stanford university!

no details yet, but i’m thinking i’ll find out more within the next two weeks. honestly didn’t think i’d get a ‘call back’ as the end of the last interview thing didn’t go too well.. hehe.

okay so i’ve read up on basically… everything. all the different job titles what they actually meant and who apple wants for those positions. all their different products, computers, ipads, ipods, iphones, and all the different gb’s and prices. can’t say i’ll remember ANY of this once i’m nervous but it’s worth a shot, right?

on the email it said dress casually (going to wear exactly what i wore to class this morning) and that the ‘recruitment event’ shouldn’t last more than 2hr 30min.. bloody hell what am i in for? the event starts at 6 so i’ll be finished at 830.. shame my law class is from 530 to 830… guess i won’t be going to that lecture today then!

now i’m going to watch the mentalist, relax, and make a caesar salad for dinner before i’m off. wish i had some chill pills!

well i wouldn’t say i’m living a boring life, but there’s not much for me to write about. i go to class. i do my work. i try to socialize. and i’m going for a 6 hour long trial shift tomorrow. hope working wont interfere with studying too much.
