had a crazy night out in camden last night..

started by pre-drinking at simon’s and playing some drinking games.. which lead to no drinking on mine or irish’s part so we decided to just drink anyways. regrettable decisions now.

made our way to camden and everyone on the tube HATED us, which fair enough i would’ve as well. then i saw my favourite bouncer at the ice wharf, told him i’d be around a lot more often now.. which he thought was good, my liver won’t think so.

moved on to lock 17  where johan was working in the bar and the guy is a genius when your drunk, but a mad man when your hungover the day after.

all in all, a brilliant night out!

so last week jules and simon decided they wanted to ‘cook’ and serve dinner. pimms, white, and red wine were on the cards.

smoked salmon for starters with prosciutto bread sticks. then we had chicken skewers with red rice for the main.

daphne and i were really impressed with what the boys did, plus it was nice not to have to lift a finger for once!

not too far away from where we were staying in paris was the Luxembourg gardens! bigger than i thought and quite nice. wish it would’ve been warmer though and we could’ve had lunch there!

jules flat was amaaaazing. much bigger than mine, haaa surprise. no but he had a bed that came down from the ceiling (?!) and a fully stocked bar, not to mention a huge tv that we never even looked at. appreciated staying there so much!

jules was kind enough to let us stay in his flat, which im not kidding is around the corner from the pantheon.

you step outside the gate and BAM, there’s the pantheon. how cool is that? everyday it gave me a little kick. plus it was so easy to find ‘home’, and the taxi drivers knew exactly where to drive.

went into the pantheon on the last day, so cold inside! not the most impressive thing, i mean the tombs are pretty cool, but i wanted to go to the top..

jules was in paris for one night when we were there. so he showed us around a bit, took us to a nice spanish bar for sangria! i was so shocked to see the girls and boys bathroom in the… erm.. same room? weird. can imagine the pick up lines going on in there..

met a couple of his friends, really good and decent people. had a really good time.

then we had FANTASTIC sushi, i can’t even begin to explain how good it was. melted in my mouth. i was in heaven!

jules had a train to catch at 6 am from paris to london, and we thought why not stay up with him? mistake. cannot even begin to tell you how tired we were the day after. oh well, made the most of our time together i suppose!

when we arrived at the train station in paris, jules and his mother were there to meet us!

of course the boys were ready to get on it, so a litre beer for them, and a small glass of wine for me. just had to take pictures though, the glasses were MASSIVE!

at Jules apartment now. just had an amazing japanese take away. sushi and miso soup. not really your traditional french dinner but it is okay with me.

just been hanging out with the Chihuahua, playing pinball and drinking red wine. now… night on the town?

by the way, i love paris. if i spoke french i’d totally live here.

Simon and i went to Selfridges on Monday. Bought some 30 pieces of chocolate from artisan du chocolat for Jules and his parents as a thank you for letting us stay in their flat.

after all you can’t show up empty handed, and what a luxury to be able to stay somewhere for free all on our own. generosity!

after spending three days at simon’s house we decided to come back to mine. had a cheap dinner at wetherspoons with a bottle of wine.

said hello to a couple of guys that are on the same course as me, and then after dinner jules came and joined us! had a nice little chat with him before heading home somewhat early. simon had to get up early this morning and head off to hockey, he’s gone all weekend. freedom?

my throat really hurts so i think i’m taking it pretty easy tonight.

just on our way out now to kings cross meeting jules at his place.. then dinner? camden? don’t know.. we’ll see!
