on Monday im flying to Dallas to spend christmas and new years with my parents. feels weird since we’ve been in mexico for the last two years, but i have to say i am pretty excited about some swedish christmas food and a christmas tree. although i wouldn’t mind quesadillas and palm trees

yesterday was a beautiful day, and after heat comes thirst so after Simon and I met up with Will and one of his friends we stopped at the lock tavern for a quick drink.

the had a very nice rooftop in the sun where i finished off my Modelo dreaming away to Mexico again.

since we all had different things planned during the day we mostly met up in the evenings for meals. friday night we were in covent garden at an indian restaurant called masala zone. can’t say it was great, very commercialised and westernised, but edible. plus my mango bellini made up for it a bit! felt like a mini reunion from mexico as theo decided to join us as well!

then on saturday i managed to get everyone together in camden. went to sen nin, an amazing japanese restaurant. we got lucky and managed to get a table for 7 even without reservations. had teppanyaki and watched the cook make food right in front of us. ate pretty much everything on my plate, and don’t even want to think about what the bill was like…

then last night i went to dinner with the jerome’s to say goodbye as they flew back to the states today, ate at a restaurant in mayfair. italian food, and honestly.. how can you go wrong with italian food? mozzarella and tomato starter with parma ham and melon. then i had crab ravioli as a main course. was a bit olily, but then again edible no?! plus the wine made it all go down very nicely.

feels like its back to reality now, but then again im in sweden this weekend celebrating midsummer so maybe not!

while we were in Mexico we went to a nature park called xel ha, was really pretty. tons of things to do, the boys liked the snorkelling. i really enjoyed swimming with the dolphins. such a cool experience! dolphins are just gracious elegant animals.

took a bus out to Tulum one day in Mexico as well. Some ancient Mayan ruins there, pretty cool although we didn’t get much information about it. Plus you can’t touch them or anything like that. However the beach there, is meant to be the third prettiest beach in the world? i wouldn’t doubt it, gorgeous!

went out for some drinks one night this past week. ended up at a beach club, dancing in high heels in sand is an art! but we had a really good time, some more than others. had to have at least one shot of tequila before leaving mexico.. 1 tequila, 2 tequila, 3 tequila.. floor.

took the boat over to cozumel from playa del carmen one day. shame we didn’t head out earlier, didn’t get as much time on the island as i would’ve liked.

rented scooters and drove to the beach. after some seriously good food and snorkelling we had to head back again. let me just say that the boat made me rather sea sick, not to pleasant.

we went out to dinner a couple of times to say the least in Mexico. some good food, some not so great. but the most interesting thing was probably the two toilets.. right next to each other. takes girls going to the bathroom together to a whole new level!

met up with everyone at senor frogs one night. very american, but it’s a fun place. i couldn’t sit still in the swing chairs at the bar, almost knocked lisa over when she walked past me!

the internet at our resort was so slow i gave up on blogging. so here come a load of blog posts about my week in mexico!
