the jerome family is in london this weekend as well. so wednesday evening i went to Green Park to meet them at the pub. had a couple of drinks and they decided they fancied thai food.. guess where i took them? monkey & me of course!

simon came an met us as well. had panang, green curry and a red. a cashew nut stir fry and pad thai, don’t forget the tempura starters!

i love that resturant and the three bottles of wine surely didn’t slow us down. so after we went to the temperance pub around the corner from my flat.

finished off the night with a short walk home.. literally around the corner.

S: I really fancy a thai curry
M: Monkey & me?
S: No we can’t…
M: They’re probably all booked for valentines day anyways.. have a look if they’ve got a table. if not we’ll go to waitrose and make dinner at home
S: Or we could get a takeaway..

so don’t you think our romantic dinner we were going to cook ended up being cooked for us.. hehe. i love that restaurant to bits, always always always good food. had a lovely blush rose as well with the meal. couldn’t have left fuller or happier. i think simon was happy he didn’t have to do any work either

After a bit of sleep on the plane as well, Simon 21 year old birthday boy and i ended up in Dublin, Ireland.

It was well early and EVERYTHING was closed. good planning on my part? no.

so we wandered around the empty streets. finally settled for breakfast at a little shop, what a disappointment!

then we got a tour bus, figured it was less walking, could go to the Guinness factory, and learn a bit about the city!

the driver told us how he cured his depression, “i watch my wedding video… on rewind, my favourite part is when she gives me the ring back, gets in the car and fucks off.”

finally checked in at the hotel around 3. took a well needed nap. then got ready for dinner!

ate at a little thai restaurant, food was good but it’s no monkey & me

then we went to cafe en seine, of course, for a couple! simon was so tired we were home around 1. not the night i had planned for, but it was good to get some sleep.

sunday we wandered around. bought a glass from hard rock for my mamma, looked in the shops. walked to where dad and i used to live. stopped by a christmas market, and last but not least drank in Temple Bar.

had a horrible indian meal for dinner and jetted off to the airport and were back in my flat in london by 1130.

picked up my pappa from london city airport yesterday. got lost on my way, so he was stood waiting for me :/

but all was well, came home dropped off his bag and then headed out for dinner. took him to monkey & me, which i LOOOOOOOVE. had a lovely panag curry which i finished off for lunch today with some vegetable tempura and soup!

then we headed to the swedish pub around the corner for a quick pint, apparently the guinness just isn’t the same in texas

went for dinner after wandering around oxford street and piccadilly circus finding shoes for simon to play hockey in.

had a lovely thai green curry at monkey & me, the staff remember us every time. really good service there. highly recommend it!

went to a lovely thai restaurant around the corner for dinner last night. it was AMAZING. calamari, prawns, and thai green curry.. i wanna go back now!

had a really good evening with my babe, so happy i’ve got him. didn’t want him to leave today, want to relive this weekend!

went to a lovely restaurant close to the quays here. its a modern thai place which me and pappa went to with pinky! i had one of the best white wines ive had in ages! muscadet i think it was? i could be horribly wrong! either way the spring rolls were good and my main dish (cashew-nut chicken) was AMAZING. i haven’t had a dinner out like that in a long time. i loved every bit of it. it’s a bit sad leaving dublin, it really is. i love it here. its a mini, mini london. pinky’s always fun to go out with as well. but london is calling. and i cant give london up.
